Coexistence and Sharing between IMT-Advanced and DVB-T Services at 790-862 MHz

چکیده
The 790-862 MHz frequency band is allocated for IMT-Advanced system on a co-primary basis operation alongside existing Digital Video BroadcastingTerrestrial (DVB-T), At WRC-07. As a result of frequency spectrum scarcity and emerging various wireless applications, coexistence and sharing between wireless systems become a recently considerable issue. Therefore, coexistence and sharing requirements must be achieved in terms of both cochannel and adjacent channel frequencies. Coexistence situation is analyzed by using sensitive and non-sensitive spectral emission mask (SEM) of DVB-T. Possible intersystem interference mitigation techniques are suggested. Key-Words: DVB-T, IMT-Advanced, intersystem interference, SEM, coexistence

Cross Border Interference between IMT-Advanced and DVB-T in the Digital Dividend Band
The 470–862 MHz band has recently incurred two major spectrum reallocations: the introduction of digital broadcasting (DB) and the allocation of the 790–862 MHz sub-band as a co-primary base for mobile services. While some countries have accomplished full digital switchover (DSO) and implemented DB as their platform for TV broadcasting, others are still in the trial phase. Until 2015, this sub-...
متن کاملSpectrum Sharing and Compatibility between the International Mobile Telecommunication- Advanced and Digital Broadcasting in the Digital Dividend Band
The International Telecommunication Union for Radiocommunication (ITU-R) became involved with the spectrum allocation for next generation mobile communication services in World Radio Communication conference 2007 (WRC07). The reason is to minimize the adjacent channel interference between Mobile service and DVB-T system within the same geographical area. Therefore, this paper investigates the s...
متن کاملLTE and DVB-T Coexistence: A Simulation Study in the UHF Frequency Band
The introduction of new mobile services, mainly UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) and LTE (Long Term Evolution), in the digital dividend portion of the UHF spectrum (from 790 MHz to 862 MHz), resulting from the digital switchover process, makes necessary the assessment of how much the interference of these signals impacts on QoS of existing DVB-T services, in particular when ope...
متن کاملSpectrum Emission Mask for Coexistence between Future WiMAX and Existing Fixed Wireless Access Systems
This paper introduces a new coexistence study of the future WiMAX system and existing fixed wireless access (FWA) systems and investigates its feasibility. Spectrum emission mask as an interference mitigation technique is used as well as interference to noise ratio (I/N) of -6 dB as one of standard sharing criterion value at FWA systems recommended by international telecommunication union radio...
متن کاملON THE COMPARISON OF INTERSYSTEM INTERFERENCE SCENARIOS BETWEEN IMT-ADVANCED AND FIXED SERVICES OVER VARIOUS DEPLOYMENT AREAS AT 3500 MHz
At WRC-07, the frequency band 3500 MHz has been allotted for the next generation of mobile International Mobile Telecommunication-Advanced (IMT-Advanced). Meanwhile this band is already in used by fixed services, which means that harmful interference probability may be transpired. In this paper, the coexistence between the two services in various geographical deployment areas (dense urban, urba...
